Hello! My name is Ben Kartz and I am owner/operator of Kartz’s Universal Commodities. In 2021 I decided to make my love for collecting, nature, and history my full-time pursuit. I transitioned from large corporate businesses to a small mom and pop shop called Burnie’s Rock Shop in Madison, Wisconsin. We’ve been in business for over 60 years. My specialties in the rock world consists of, but not limited to agates, jaspers, and meteorites. I’m also a sucker for a cool mineral specimen, or sparkly faceted gem. I’m a proud member of the International Meteorite Collectors Association (IMCA# 8814) and the Madison Gem and Mineral Club.
